Magill Estate Shiraz
Wine
Penfolds Magill Estate Shiraz is a single vineyard wine from the original Magill vineyard on the edge of Adelaide's eastern suburbs. It was first produced in 1983.
The fruit is crushed, fermented and matured on site at the original Penfolds Magill winery, established in 1844.
Vinified in open fermenters, the wine is basket pressed to complete fermentation in barrel. It typically spends 17 months in new and seasoned French and American oak.
Bright cherry red, Penfolds Magill Estate Shiraz is elegant and medium bodied with velvety texture and fine tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
